Preaching
The preaching at GBC is expository, which means that the preacher will focus on explaining, illustrating and applying the text of the Bible in a Christ exalting fashion. This is typically done by means of “consecutive exposition,” which means that we preach through entire books of the bible rather than jumping from one book of the Bible to another every Sunday. We choose this approach because we want our members to know the whole counsel of God.
Music
We sing both ancient and modern hymns that highlight the greatness of God and the person and work of Jesus Christ. Our music is God-centered rather than man-centered. We do not have a choir. We choose instead to sing as a congregation because we believe that people should come to church to worship God rather than watch other people worship God.

Children’s Ministry
A nursery area is available for children under the age of three. We expect all other children to participate in the corporate worship and welcome their presence there. We have coloring books etc to help occupy them during the service. There is also a common area where parents can slip out with young children to let them get some wiggles out.
We have found that even very young children get a lot out of the singing and preaching as they doodle along with a crayon. This is how young people learn about God and learn how He is to be worshipped. We will not drag the youth off to another room to be fed a steady diet of entertainment and theological mush so that they can fall away from the church as soon as they are old enough to decide for themselves where they are going on Sunday Mornings.
